How to Enroll

Step 1

If you are new to Chenega, you may be eligible to enroll for benefits. To enroll, take a moment to review a summary of your benefit options.

Enroll within 31 days of hire date by accessing Mercer Marketplace 365+.

To enroll, you must create a new account and elect your benefits. To create a new account:

  • Provide the last four of your Social Security number, last name, birth date, and ZIP code.
  • Receive and input a verification code.
  • Set up a username (an email address will suffice) and a password.

Step 2

Don’t forget to double check!

Take a minute to review the Employee Summary Report before submitting your elections. Once you hit “submit,” you can’t make changes until next year (unless you have a mid-year qualified life event), so make sure everything is correct. It’s also a good idea to print a copy of the Employee Summary Report for your records.

Step 3

Gather dependent verification documentation. You need to submit documentation for any dependents you enroll.

Take action!

If you are new to Chenega, you must actively enroll if you want the benefits that fit the needs of you and your family members in 2020.

Waiving coverage?

Be sure to submit a waiver form via email to chenega@mercer.com by the end of your enrollment period. Forms are available on Mercer Marketplace 365+ by following this path: Menu > Documents > Health & Benefits > 2020 Medical Waiver Form.

What if I have a qualifying life event?

If you experience a qualifying life event during the year and wish to update your benefits, visit Mercer Marketplace 365+ to update your elections. You must make any changes within 31 days on your qualifying life event — or within 60 days of a loss of Medicaid/CHIP coverage or within 60 days of gaining eligibility for a state's premium assistance program under Medicaid or CHIP.

Review the Making benefit changes page for more information on qualifying life events.

Your Enrollment Checklist

  • Learn about your benefit options.
  • Think about your coverage needs, including how much health care you anticipate needing and whether your current life and disability insurance provides enough protection.
  • Make sure your dependent information is correct and all your dependents are eligible.
  • Elect your FSA enrollment and/or HSA contribution amount — they don’t carry over to the next year.
  • Review your beneficiaries — It’s a good idea to review your beneficiary information (especially if your personal circumstances have changed) and take this opportunity to make updates as needed.
  • Complete your benefits enrollment by the end of your initial enrollment period.

If you have the option to waive medical coverage, you must submit the 2020 Major Medical Waiver Form and proof of other credible medical coverage by the end of your initial enrollment period.
